Q: Can one mould produce multiple neck finishes?

A: While the mold base and cavity pitch are fixed, you can switch neck finishes by replacing the neck ring and thread-forming inserts, provided the thread diameter remains within the platform design limits.

Q: Is valve gate necessary for 8 cavities?

A: Not always. Open gate is sufficient for standard bottles, while valve gate is recommended if you require a cleaner gate appearance (no nub) or are using high-viscosity resins that might cause stringing.

Q: What affects cycle time most in an 8-cavity setup?

A: The main factors are preform wall thickness, chilled water flow rate (8–15°C is recommended), PET drying quality, and the injection machine's cooling recovery capacity.

Q: What should be provided before quotation?

A: To receive an accurate quote, please provide your preform technical drawing, neck standard, target daily output, resin specs, and the technical parameters of your injection molding machine (clamping force, etc.).

Q: Does this mold require specialized maintenance equipment?

A: No. The modular design allows for standard hand-tool maintenance. We provide a maintenance manual and a complementary set of core wearing parts (heaters, thermocouples, seals) to get you started.

Q: How do you ensure the mold fits my existing injection machine?

A: Before manufacturing, we require your machine's platen layout, tie-bar spacing, and nozzle dimensions. Our engineers will customize the mounting plate and ring size to ensure a 100% "drop-in" fit.

Q: Can we run recycled PET (rPET) on this mould?
